Launched Boarding Boat to remove hulk of an old speed boat washed ashore nr the lifeboat station, Coastguards asked for its removal before it floated away on the next tide.

Launched to assist a small yacht, who's owner had fallen over and needed medical assistance, once ILB arrived on scene the owner had been taken off his yacht and landed ashore by another vessel. as there was no other help required the ILB returned to station.

Launched to assist in a search nr Hartland Quay for a missing person, along with coastguards, Helicopter, clovelly lifeboat, local fishing boats, after a thougher search of the area all units were stood Down. (A body was later discovered by coastguards at LW)

15-Apr-2011 Boarding Boat 2038Hrs
Launched following a report of red flares in the River Torridge at Bideford, the Boarding boat was to search an area between the two bridges. The Cox who was off duty and at Bideford old bridge at the time reported that he had sighted nothing, and nothing was a miss in the area. flare was thought to have come from Inland and all units stood down.

Launched in poor visibility to a small vessel aground with 2 pob in the vicinity of crow point, the ILB Proceeded to the area, but could not locate the casualty. the Helm turned off the engines and asked the coastguard to get the casualty to shout as all comms were by mobile phone. Once done the ILB located the casualty aground on a sandbank approx 200 yrds away, ILB towed the vessel back to Instow quay.

Launched to several 999 reports of a small boat drifting down the River Torridge near the Torridge Bridge. When the ILB arrived on scene they found a small diralic dinghy, which had parted its moorings. The vessel was taken intow and placed on moorings.

Launched to a report of 2 person's in the water at Bideford Quay. When the ILB arrived on scene, it was confirmed that the 2 males were safely ashore, and the ILB could stand down.

Launched following a call from Swansea CG, that a surfboard had been found on rocks at Saunton, And could the lifeboat search from Airy Point to Croyde bay, After a search of the area, and nothing found all units were stood down.

Requested to launch to a person threatening to jump from the Taw Bridge at Barnstaple. While the boat was en-route the person was talked into coming inside the safety barrier, and the police took them into custody, all units were stood down.

Requested to launch after a report of a body in the water at the Bideford Old Bridge. When on scene it was confirmed to be body. The body was recovered from the water and landed at the slipway close by.

Launched to a 28ft ex-ships lifeboat adrift in the riverTaw/Torridge. The vessel had no-one aboard, and had broken its moorings. Vessel was towed back to a suitable mooring at Instow.

While on exercise the ILB was diverted to search for a missing person. The person was known to walk the river bank and after approx 20 mins of searching, the missing person was found safe and well onshore.
