Swansea Coastguard requested the launch of ALB to assist a 26ft yacht with rigging failure and running low on fuel some 3 miles off Hartland Quay. As the ALB arrived on scene the casualty ran out of fuel. A crewmember was placed onboard the casualty with a VHF radio as the vessels own radio was not working, a tow line was attached and the vessel towed to Appledore.
