Recovery of the mfv Pacemaker

Swansea CG requested the launch of ALB to the fishing vessel Pacemaker with a fouled propellor 21 miles North of Hartland Point. Once on scene the ALB passed a tow rope, due to the state of tide, the coxswain decided to tow the vessel to Ilfracombe rather than Appledore. It was also decided to launch Ilfracombe Lifeboat to assist towing the vessel into Ilfracombe harbour due the the swell running at the time. Once the vessel was safely alongside the ALB returned to Appledore and was ready for service at 2115hrs.
