Being an old Appledore lad, born in New St, I always love to read about the village and the lifeboat, the new one is a real beauty. My grandmother was a Hinks, a daughter of John Barron Hinks the boatbuilder of Irsha St and Skern. I well remember policeman Williams and all the Schiller family and was very friendly with Roy. The mention of crabbing brought back wonderful memories, great times not much money but wonderful Appledore people.
